What We Offer
Auger Cast Piles
Auger cast piles are crafted by drilling a continuous flight auger to the required depth and then pumping high-strength grout through the auger as it is withdrawn. Once the grout sets, reinforcing steel is inserted into the grout column to enhance the pile's load-bearing capacity. These piles offer excellent friction and end-bearing properties while maintaining cost efficiency.
Drilled Shafts
Drilled shafts are large-diameter piles created using high-torque machines to achieve high-capacity foundations. Depending on soil conditions, these shafts may be cased. Reinforcing steel is placed in the excavated shaft before concrete is poured using a full-depth tremie pipe. Drilled shafts are known for their high load capacity and are constructed with various tools, including dirt and rock augers, core barrels, and clean-out buckets.
Driven Piles
Driven piles, made from wood or steel, are installed with air or diesel pile hammers. Installation is monitored by a soils engineer to determine pile capacity. Available in various sizes and types—from small pin piles to large H beams and pipe piles—driven piles are versatile and suitable for supporting structures of any scale, including homes, bridges, and buildings. Their capacity is assessed during installation, making them a reliable and economical choice for many applications.
Soldier Pile Shoring
Soldier pile shoring involves the installation of multiple piles, typically H-beams, at spaced intervals to support excavations or changes in elevation. These piles are anchored in drilled shafts, and lagging is placed between them to stabilize the surrounding soil. For deeper excavations, tiebacks may be incorporated for additional soil support. This method is highly adaptable, allowing adjustments in pile size and spacing based on-site conditions, making it a cost-effective solution for site shoring.
Sheet Piles
Sheet piles are interlocking steel sections driven into the ground to provide support for excavations and prevent soil migration. They form a continuous steel wall, making them effective in controlling water infiltration and stabilizing loose soils. Available in various shapes and thicknesses, sheet piles are suitable for applications ranging from lightweight residential shoring to high-capacity commercial structures. They can be coated for enhanced corrosion resistance and installed using vibratory or impact hammers, depending on site conditions. Sheet piles offer the flexibility of temporary shoring and can be removed and reused as needed.
Helical Piles
Helical piles are steel screw-in foundations used to support or anchor structures in a variety of soil conditions. Installed by rotating them into the ground using hydraulic machinery, they provide immediate load-bearing capacity with minimal site disturbance. Helical piles are ideal for projects requiring quick installation and can be used in new construction or to stabilize existing structures. Their versatility and efficiency make them a preferred choice for both commercial and residential applications, especially in areas with challenging soil conditions.
